
Q: How do I Install QuuMobile on my phone?
- It's easy. First you need to Sign up.
- Then determine if your phone is Windows Mobile or Java based.

Go to Settings / Advanced Options / TCP
The following value should be entered in the APN field: wap.voicestream.com
Leave the username and password blank.

Make sure that all permissions are set to Allow.

Q: I installed QuuMobile on my phone. I get an error when QuuMobile tries to update station data?
Phones require a setting called APN/TCP to be correctly configured in order to allow an application to exchange data over the data connection.
To set your APN connection, find TCP in your settings/Options/Advanced options and enter the data relevant to your provider. You can find this data by clicking the link below:

If you are on T-Mobile and your Internet plan is T-Zones not Unlimited Data, T-Zones is marketed as an internet option for your service plan. It's not really. It allows Text Messages and some WAP browsing via the T-Zones portal.
Go to the QuuMobile menu / Configuration, and choose No data plan. QuuMobile will communicate using a Text Message.
Q: During install, I get an error regarding a certificate?
QuuMobile has not been certified yet. When you get prompted click on "yes" to continue installation.
If you do not see this option, it means that your phone security is set to high. Check your phone manual on how to reduce the security level, and restart the installation.
Q: My phone is data enabled and it runs on Windows Mobile - I get an error when I try to install QuuMobile?
If you receive an error that a necessary framework needs to be installed on your phone, click on the second link in the Text Message you received when you registered. This will install a required Microsoft software..
Q: I don't see all the QuuMobile features on my phone?
All QuuMobile features have not been activated yet. As they become available you will receive an email notification with instructions on how to enable these features.

If your phone HAS A DATA PLAN, in other words you can connect to the internet from your phone; you will receive a text message. Click on the link in the text message. QuuMobile will automatically download and install.

If your phone HAS A DATA PLAN, in other words you can connect to the internet from your phone and runs on Windows Mobile, after registration, you will receive a text message. Click on the link in the text message. QuuMobile will be automatically downloaded and installed.
Q: My phone is not data-enabled but is running on Windows Mobile?
QuuMobile is not compatible at this time with Windows Mobile based phones that do not have a data plan
Q: My phone is not data-enabled but can run Java applications?
If your phone is not data-enabled, in other words you do not pay for the service that allows you to browse the internet or receive emails on your phone, you can still Quu-enable your phone. This is easier than it sounds, and it only has to be done once.
When you register, you will receive an email explaining the steps to follow. The email contains a link. Click on that link or copy it and paste it in your internet browser:
- When prompted, download the files and save them to your computer
- Connect your phone to your computer
- Copy the downloaded files to any location on your phone
- Disconnect your phone from the computer
- Use your phone browser to locate the files you copied
- Click on QuuMobile.jad and follow the prompts
- QuuMobile will auto install
My phone is data enabled but does not have Java on it? (other than Windows Mobile)
You need to determine if you can install a java emulator on your phone. Please refer to your phone manufacturer for this question.
If your phone can run a Java emulator, you need to download a Java using either your phone browser or your computer.
If you use your computer, connect your phone to the computer and copy the Java directories under the root directory of your phone.
Click on the Java link included in the Text Message you received when you registered.
Q: How do I know if my phone supports Java?
Many phones, including windows mobile based phones, do come with Java already installed. When installing QuuMobile using the java link provided, if you get an error message like "Unknown file type", it means your phone does not support java, thus it will not support QuuMobile. Please refer to your phone manufacturer's website for more help.
Q: My phone is not data-enabled and does not have Java on it?
If your phone does not run on Windows Mobile, does not have a data connection, does not have Java installed, It will not support QuuMobile.
